WHO WE ARE
Who We Are
A European–Pakistani Partnership
BRIDGE brings together a multidisciplinary consortium of higher education institutions and a professional engineering body from Pakistan, Ireland and Greece.
The partnership combines expertise in engineering education, digital technologies, Industry 5.0, innovation, research, workforce development and industry collaboration.
Our Consortium
The project is coordinated by the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore (UET Lahore).
The consortium includes:
- University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore (UET Lahore)
- Lahore College for Women University (LCWU)
- PAK-Austria Fachhochschule Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology (PAF-IAST)
- NED University of Engineering and Technology (NED)
- Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS)
- Karakoram International University (KIU)
- Dublin City University (DCU), Ireland
- National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece
- Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC)
Working Across Institutions
The consortium represents a diverse academic and geographical footprint across Pakistan, supported by European partners with expertise in industry-driven curricula, digital technologies and professional upskilling.
European partners contribute advanced expertise and experience, while Pakistani partner institutions provide the institutional environment for training, curriculum development, technology adoption and wider implementation.
Our Shared Focus
The partnership works across major engineering and technology areas, including mechatronics, electronics, electrical engineering, computer engineering and software engineering.
Through cooperation, faculty development, bootcamps, curriculum modernization and Centers of Excellence, the consortium works to strengthen institutional capacity and improve the relevance of higher education to evolving workforce requirements.
Working With Industry
Industry engagement is an important element of BRIDGE. The project brings industry perspectives into bootcamp development, curriculum updates, professional training and innovation activities.
The project also plans a Joint Alumni Network and Industry Advisory Board to support mentorship, industry feedback, curriculum guidance and longer-term collaboration between higher education and industry.
A Partnership for Sustainable Capacity
BRIDGE is designed around knowledge exchange and institutional capacity building. Faculty trained through European partner institutions will transfer knowledge through reciprocal training at Pakistani partner institutions, supporting wider dissemination and long-term sustainability.
